On Friday, India stressed that Pakistan should be held responsible for its 'horrific' human rights abuses against peaceful protesters in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Widespread demonstrations across PoK have seen civilians demanding fundamental rights, justice, and an end to what they allege as systemic oppression by Pakistani authorities.
'Reports indicate brutalities by Pakistani forces on innocent civilians,' stated external affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, emphasizing that Pakistan's oppressive policies and resource exploitation in these forcibly occupied areas have naturally led to unrest.
