A dramatic manhunt concluded with the arrest of a suspect accused of murdering a colleague. The suspect, identified as Sunil Kharpat Prajapati, had reportedly fled to a ship at Okha Port in Gujarat after the crime, according to police officials on Sunday.
Authorities say the incident happened on September 7 in the Vasai area, where both Prajapati and the victim, Dilip Saroj, worked for a private company. A disagreement arose following Prajapati's alleged refusal to share meal fund money transferred to his account, escalating into a fatal attack.
Following Saroj's death from his injuries, a murder charge was filed. Using technical analysis and intelligence, police located Prajapati on a docked vessel, after inspecting over 200 ships. He was arrested on October 2 and brought back to Palghar.
