A 60-year-old tribal man was tragically lynched by a mob over allegations of practicing black magic in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district, officials reported on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Jhamatuli village, beginning police investigations that have so far detained two people linked to the mob attack.
The victim, identified as Kamta Adivasi, was known for performing exorcisms. Authorities are probing the roots of this accusation and working to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.
