A youth identified as Arshad Alli, 19, has been arrested by the Bhubaneswar Police for allegedly spreading communal hatred on social media, a senior officer reported.
Alli's arrest resulted from a case filed on October 9, following a complaint about a video posted online containing hate speech that could incite violence and insult Hindu sentiments.
The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh warned that individuals sharing similar provocative content would face legal consequences, encouraging the public to avoid forwarding such messages.
