Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has issued a call for the integration of modern technology to combat the spread of misinformation by harmful elements within the Union Territory.
Speaking at a Police Commemoration Day event, attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and top security officials, Sinha underscored the importance of technological innovations in enhancing police capabilities to counter fabricated narratives. He reflected on the transformative changes witnessed in the region over the past five years and stressed the need for continuous peace and prosperity.
Highlighting the sacrifices made by the police in fighting terrorism, with 1,614 personnel having lost their lives, Sinha urged citizens to honor these sacrifices by supporting the police force. He also emphasized the police's role as active partners in the broader national development, aiming for peace by dismantling terrorist networks.
