The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has declared a substantial PKRs 10 crore bounty on Kazim, a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan commander, sources revealed on Tuesday. Kazim is suspected in several high-profile attacks involving army personnel and convoys, particularly those geared toward the Shia community, according to district officials.
Originating from the Kurram district, Kazim stands accused of orchestrating an assassination attempt on Kurram Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud. A recent photograph of the militant has been made public for the first time as part of the comprehensive strategy to apprehend him. This move underscores the provincial administration's commitment to Kazim's capture or elimination.
The government has similarly assigned crucial rewards to locate three other militants linked to Kazim. Concurrently, incidents in the Bannu district involving the abduction and subsequent rescue of three police officers over three days have heightened local community fears.
