In a shocking incident from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a jail warden was apprehended for allegedly attempting to molest a minor, the police reported on Wednesday.

The Ghaghidih jail warden is accused of luring a nine-year-old girl, playing with her friends in the Sitaramdera area, to the rooftop of a three-storey building, where he allegedly attempted to assault her. Tensions rose as the girl's family and locals clashed with police outside the warden's residence.

Subsequent to the involvement of senior BJP leader and ex-chief minister Raghubar Das, SP (City) Kumar Sivashish and DSP (HQ) Bhola Prasad Singh intervened, resulting in the warden's detention. Authorities will conduct the girl's medical examination and record her statement before a magistrate. Investigations continue.
