High-Drama Chase: Police Nab Alleged Shooters Near Rishikesh
Two men were arrested after a dramatic police encounter in Laal Tappad near Rishikesh. Officers apprehended the duo involved in a recent hospital firing, while a third suspect escaped into nearby forests. A scooter and weapons were seized, and attempted murder charges were filed against them.

In a high-tension police encounter near Rishikesh, two men were apprehended after being shot in the leg, according to officials. The event unfolded in the Laal Tappad area, as police targeted suspects in a previous firing incident outside the Government Doon Hospital.
A third individual managed to escape into the forest during the chase. Inspector Pradeep Rana, in-charge of the Doiwala police station, confirmed the suspects as Sohail Khan, 25, and Shanu, 23, both hailing from Dehradun. They were immediately hospitalized and arrested following the encounter, which occurred at around 10:15 PM on Wednesday.
Efforts are underway to locate the escaped criminal through forest combing operations and raids at other sites. The suspects, identified as the main accused in the hospital shooting, are charged with attempted murder, with a scooter and two pistols recovered from the scene.
