A fierce confrontation erupted in a village in Muzaffarnagar district, leaving at least five people seriously injured, as confirmed by local police on Thursday.
According to Ratenpuri Station House Officer Rakesh Kumar, the incident began with a confrontation between two individuals, Arvind and Vir Singh, and quickly escalated into a violent clash. Participants wielded wooden sticks and sharp-edged weapons before authorities intervened to restore order.
The injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. One victim, Nitish, accused Vir Singh and his associates of attacking them during a visit to the fields, citing an old enmity as the cause. Police continue to investigate the incident.
