The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) is pressing Hinduja Group's IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL) for a clear timeline to cease using the 'Reliance' trademark for Reliance Capital. This directive follows IIHL's acquisition of Reliance Capital through the insolvency resolution process.

During a hearing, IIHL's legal representative informed NCLAT about the commencement of a rebranding process anticipated to conclude within eight weeks. The tribunal is responding to a challenge by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Ventures Pvt Ltd (ADAVL), which opposes the use of the Reliance trademark post-acquisition.

NCLAT Members Justice Mohammad Faiz Alam Khan and Naresh Salecha have scheduled the matter for further discussion on November 21, 2025, expecting IIHL to provide definitive instructions on the discontinuation of the Reliance brand name.
