Tragic Encounter: Love Turned Lethal in Mumbai

A dreadful incident unfolded in Mumbai's Byculla area, involving a lethal attack by a 24-year-old man on his former girlfriend. The incident occurred on Friday morning when Sonu Barai, consumed by suspicion and anger, confronted Manisha Yadav on a public road.

According to police reports, the attack transpired nearly two weeks after Barai and Yadav ended their relationship due to infidelity suspicions. Barai summoned Yadav ostensibly for a discussion but carried a kitchen knife, which he used to stab her multiple times in a fit of rage.

Despite her grievous injuries, Yadav managed to enter a nursing home seeking refuge, but Barai pursued and attacked her again. The situation escalated until a bystander's intervention led to Barai's realization he could not escape, ending in his tragic suicide at the scene. The police have initiated an investigation.
