A Delhi tribunal has granted compensation exceeding Rs 75 lakh to LIC agent Geeta Goyal, who suffered an 80% disability following a road accident in 2021. The case was overseen by Presiding Officer Sachin Gupta.
The incident occurred on June 10, 2021, when a speeding vehicle hit Goyal's scooty in Nangloi, resulting in severe injuries to her left upper limb and bilateral lower limbs. The tribunal's investigation confirmed rash and negligent driving as the cause.
Due to her newly acquired disabilities, Goyal has been unable to enjoy life's general amenities. Consequently, Shriram General Insurance Company Limited has been held responsible for the compensation payment under various heads.
