The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested Zuber Hangargekar from Pune's Kondhwa area. Hangargekar is accused of engaging in radicalisation activities and being connected to a banned organization.
He faces charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and has been remanded in police custody until November 4, as per court orders.
Investigations included searches at his residence, where authorities uncovered materials used for radicalisation and other incriminating evidence. The arrest follows previous interrogations and surveillance linked to ISIS modules in the region, officials stated.
