Enhancing Safety: Fire Drills Boost Preparedness on Vaishnodevi Pilgrim Route

Authorities on Tuesday organized comprehensive fire safety awareness and mock drills along the pilgrimage route to the Mata Vaishnodevi cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir. The exercise involved multiple agencies and local stakeholders to enhance on-ground emergency response and preparedness for fire incidents.

Authorities undertook a detailed fire safety drill on Tuesday along the route to the Mata Vaishnodevi cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on preparedness and disaster management. The event was held at Tarakote and Banganga sectors on Trikuta Hills in Reasi district.

The mock drills aimed to improve efficiency and coordination in the event of a fire emergency. Demonstrations included using fire extinguishers, fire containment techniques, and evacuation procedures. Participants were instructed on identifying fire hazards and emergency communication protocols.

Involvement came from Shrine Board officials, multiple safety wings, police, and local shopkeepers, emphasizing a strong community and inter-agency collaboration to ensure the safety of pilgrims.
