Following the Delhi blast, security at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine has been significantly intensified. Authorities have directed security agencies to deploy additional personnel within the shrine and adjacent areas to ensure comprehensive safety.
The Shrine Board's Chief Executive Officer, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, requested expedited verification processes for individuals employed in local establishments from Katra town up to the shrine. Security measures include setting up checkpoints, thorough frisking, and increasing presence in key locations such as the Trikuta hills.
Emphasizing disaster preparedness, Vaishya highlighted the role of the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in real-time monitoring and coordination. Regular mock drills and stringent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being enforced to ensure that disaster management teams remain ready.
