In a significant breakthrough, police have apprehended notorious criminal Sohrab in Kolkata. A joint operation by the Delhi and Kolkata police led to his arrest on Ripon Street, where he was found operating as an app-cab driver.
Sohrab had vanished after being released on parole from Delhi's Tihar Jail in June. Known for his involvement in a criminal gang alongside his brothers, Selim and Rustam, he faced numerous charges, including multiple murders and robberies.
Back in 2011, he was arrested in Delhi after a jewel heist had turned fatal, leading to a life sentence in Tihar Jail. His audacious life of crime saw him challenging law enforcement, yet his freedom run was cut short by determined police efforts.
