Major Drug Bust: Meth and Heroin Seized in Mizoram

A significant drug bust in Mizoram's Aizawl district resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine tablets and heroin with a total estimated value of Rs 4.79 crore. The Border Security Force (BSF) reported that the operation led to the arrest of four individuals, including two Myanmar nationals.
The confiscated drugs, totaling 5.89 kg of methamphetamine tablets and 41 grams of heroin, were discovered in a local house following a tip-off. A joint team of BSF personnel and Mizoram's Excise and Narcotics department officials conducted the raid in Aizawl's Chandmari West locality.
The arrested individuals and the seized contraband have been handed over to the Excise and Narcotics department for further investigation. The methamphetamine, known for its addictive stimulant effects, is banned in India.
