A 16-year-old girl from Odisha's Khurda district has been allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped, as confirmed by local police on Monday.
The assault came to light after her parents filed a missing person's report on November 19, following her failure to return home from school.
Subsequently, her mother reported to the police that the minor was raped by a male friend and his accomplices. The police have conducted interrogations of over ten individuals, yet no arrests have been made due to lack of evidence. Meanwhile, the girl is receiving treatment and is in stable condition.
