A 16-year-old boy was tragically stabbed to death following a quarrel in northwest Delhi's Karala area, police reported on Friday.

Authorities have detained three juveniles in connection with the crime and have commenced an in-depth investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police were alerted by a Rohini hospital on Thursday after the teenager, suffering from stab wounds, was declared dead upon arrival. Investigators then proceeded to the hospital and the scene of the crime for further examination.

According to a police officer, a cousin of the deceased, who is also underage and claims to have witnessed the incident, provided a formal statement. He recounted that he and his friend Armaan, 18, rushed to the scene after being informed of a quarrel.

The officer elaborated that the deceased and others engaged in a heated exchange with three 15-year-old boys. During the altercation, one allegedly stabbed the victim in the abdomen and thigh, subsequently fleeing with the other suspects.

Investigators have reviewed local CCTV footage and conducted local intelligence efforts, leading to the apprehension of two of the alleged assailants. The victim, a class 11 student from a local private school, leaves behind grieving parents seeking answers. Authorities continue to question the juveniles to pinpoint the murder’s motive.
