Tension in Bhubaneswar: Crude Bombs Hurled Near School
Crude bombs were thrown near Kendriya Vidyalaya-3 in Bhubaneswar, instigating panic. No injuries were reported. Crude bombs were hurled near Kendriya Vidyalaya-3 in Bhubaneswar on Friday morning, causing panic among locals but fortunately no injuries. Police quickly arrived at the scene to investigate the incident, described as likely mischief by the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissioner.
Bhubaneswar's Mancheswar police station dispatched officers promptly, with two investigation teams formed to delve into the crude bombing. Authorities have recovered samples, and are scrutinizing CCTV footage from the area to identify the perpetrators, believed to be bike-borne assailants.
The site was also visited by Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh and a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is collaborating in the investigation. Initial findings suggest the bomb was of low intensity, with more information pending further investigation.
