The 2027 Census in Haryana marks a pivotal change as the entire exercise shifts to digital mode, according to Financial Commissioner Sumita Misra. This modern approach aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy across census operations, utilizing apps and portals in multiple languages available on Android and iOS platforms.

Misra detailed the hierarchical structure ensuring smooth execution, appointing divisional, district, and municipal officers for oversight. The setup extends down to the grassroots, involving sub-divisional and block level officers. Technical and logistical support will be provided by departments like planning, statistics, and informatics.

Critical to this operation is the paperless collection of data by enumerators, supported by secure registration on the Census Management System portal. Preparations also include targeted training sessions and public awareness campaigns, aiming for seamless execution of India's 16th Census, with special protocols for sensitive areas.
