Odisha to Establish 15 New POCSO Courts for Child Protection

Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan confirmed the development in response to a query by BJD MLA Chandramani Kanhar during the assembly session. The move focuses on ensuring swift justice under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act of 2012.

The new courts will be distributed across various districts including Balasore, Cuttack, and Puri, enhancing the state's judicial infrastructure for cases of this sensitive nature.
