Rahul Easwar Under Fire: Allegations of Defamation in High-Profile Case

Activist Rahul Easwar is under investigation for allegedly defaming a complainant in a sexual assault case against Congress MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil. Activist Rahul Easwar faced legal scrutiny on Sunday over allegations of defamation related to a sexual assault case against suspended Congress MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil. Police initiated a probe after the complainant reported online defamation and circulation of her photographs.

The Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police registered a case based on the complaint, subsequently issuing a notice for Easwar to appear for questioning. Officials visited his residence and directed him to the Armed Reserve Police Camp for interrogation.

Authorities are considering arrest based on the findings from the interrogation and evidence collected. Easwar, who has publicly defended Mamkoottathil, has had his social media scrutinized for defamatory content.
