In a major breakthrough against narco-terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir police apprehended two suspected drug peddlers in Pulwama district on Monday, officials confirmed.
The arrest occurred at the Rahmoo Bridge checkpoint, where police intercepted a suspicious vehicle. Upon searching, officials discovered 1.13 kilograms of a substance resembling brown sugar, effectively preventing a sizable consignment from entering the district.
Identified as Muneer Ahmed Sheikh and Toufeeq Ahmed Sheikh, the suspects face charges under the NDPS Act. Authorities continue to investigate, aiming to unravel the entire supply chain and identify both the source and intended recipients.
