The SWAGAT initiative by the Gujarat government has significantly transformed the lives of Moddar's villagers in Porbandar district, providing them with the long-awaited road and bridge linked to Kutiyana city. This step resolves a long-pending demand for connectivity, ensuring safer commutes and enhanced accessibility for residents.
According to an official release, the SWAGAT programme has addressed the requests of 1,200 villagers. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel responded quickly to a presentation by Moddar residents, approving Rs 9 crore for the development of the essential infrastructure, emblematic of prompt government intervention.
The project will soon begin, encompassing a bridge, a culvert, and a 3 km road stretch, integral to improving day-to-day lives in the hamlet. This initiative will facilitate easier travel for students, efficient access for farmers, and timely hospital visits in emergencies, thus potentially saving lives.
