Daring Daylight Heist: Jewel Thieves Strike in Ranchi

A jeweller in Ranchi was robbed of ornaments worth Rs 25.60 lakh in a daring daylight heist. Two suspects fled with the bag after distracting the owner. Police have launched an investigation using CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

A jeweller in Ranchi's Gondlipokhar area fell victim to a robbery on Friday when a bag containing jewellery valued at Rs 25.60 lakh was snatched.

The incident transpired around 10:30 am in the vicinity of the Angara police station, where two individuals were seen loitering near the shop.

As the owner placed a bag full of ornaments on the ground to unlock his shop, the suspects seized the opportunity, grabbed the bag, and made a swift getaway on a motorcycle, according to SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar.

Law enforcement authorities have registered the case and are currently working to identify the perpetrators with the aid of CCTV footage from the area.
