A pivotal CRPF camp has been inaugurated in the secluded village of Pallewaya, within Chhattisgarh's Abujhmad region, aiming to rectify security voids and spur developmental projects, officials announced on Saturday.
This region, previously a stronghold of the outlawed CPI (Maoist), remained largely inaccessible due to dense forests and rugged terrain. The camp was established by the joint efforts of Dantewada district police and CRPF's 165th battalion on December 4 in a strategically significant area in Bijapur district, bordering Dantewada.
Set under Chhattisgarh's initiative 'Niyad Nella Nar,' this Forward Operating Base of CRPF's 165th battalion seeks to connect the secluded villages in Bijapur and Narayanpur districts. The facility promises to provide fundamental services such as roads, electricity, mobile connectivity, healthcare, and education, marking a significant stride towards lasting peace and development in the Abujhmad region.
