Tandoori Roti Scandal: Arrest Made for Alleged Spitting Incident

A man was taken into custody on Saturday after allegedly spitting on dough while making tandoori rotis during a wedding reception in Mau, Uttar Pradesh, say officials.
The incident purportedly took place on Friday at the home of former village head Avdhesh Maurya.
Additional Superintendent of Police Anup Kumar informed PTI that Ahmed, the accused, was apprehended following a complaint backed by a video that surfaced of the alleged offense. Authorities are proceeding with a case registration under applicable sections as investigations continue. The video was reportedly supplied to the police by Ajay Rai, a local who alerted them and lodged a written complaint. The police are currently verifying the event and gathering witness statements.
