Cyber Crackdown: Breaking Child Pornography Ring on Instagram

Authorities have registered an FIR after uncovering 26 child pornography videos on Instagram. The account, traced to a resident linked with a specific mobile number, led to an arrest under the POCSO and IT Acts. Investigations continue as digital evidence is secured.

In a significant cyber crime bust, police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) after 26 child pornography videos were discovered on Instagram. This development follows a cyber tipline report received from the Union Home Ministry's cyber portal.

The identified Instagram account was traced to a mobile number belonging to an individual residing in a village under the jurisdiction of the Sehramau North police station. The individual has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act.

The Pilibhit Superintendent of Police, Abhishek Yadav, stated that a detailed investigation is underway and additional information is being procured via the cyber portal. Despite the arrest, the suspect, Ritik Shukla, denies his involvement. The cyber cell is now handling the case as secured digital evidence is being scrutinized.
