In an emotional statement on social media, Sagarika Ghose, TMC's Rajya Sabha deputy leader, described the disaster as a reflection of the collapse of Goa's 'double-engine' governance model. She expressed sorrow for the victims and their families, highlighting the man-made nature of the tragedy.
Similarly, TMC's Rajya Sabha MP Saket Gokhale shared his distress over the loss of 23 lives, extending sincere condolences and wishes for the recovery of the injured. The incident underscores the urgent need for administrative improvements in Goa to prevent further loss of life.
