An unidentified foreigner, found critically injured near a residential complex in Navi Mumbai, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday evening while receiving treatment at a civic hospital, according to police reports.
The deceased, lacking any form of identification, was discovered in a dubious position in Sanpada's sector 1. Law enforcement is yet to determine his nationality.
Authorities suspect that the individual was under the influence, leading to a fall while attempting to leap a gate, as captured on CCTV footage. He was initially taken to Vashi's civic hospital, later transferring to a civic-run Mumbai hospital where he passed away. The police, following preliminary inquiries, have dismissed any foul play.
