The opposition BJP in Jharkhand is gearing up to challenge the state government on pressing issues during the winter session of the assembly, which ends on December 11. Key topics include the failure to provide student scholarships and delays in paddy procurement.
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi chaired the BJP's legislature party meeting where it was decided to confront the government about these challenges. The party asserts that needy students aren't receiving scholarships and farmers face selling paddy to middlemen cheaply.
Naveen Jaiswal, BJP chief whip, criticized the government for unfulfilled promises made before the upcoming 2024 assembly polls. Moreover, he claimed a decline in law and order and rising corruption over the past six years. The BJP plans to seek accountability from the government during this session.
