The Odisha government has allocated a significant sum of over Rs 3.39 crore for the repairs and renovation of official residences belonging to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, his deputies, and a total of 13 ministers. This information was shared in the Assembly through a detailed statement by the CM.
Chief Minister Majhi provided a breakdown of the expenditure, revealing that a combined total of Rs 3,39,52,259 was spent on these renovations following the establishment of the BJP government in the state on June 12, 2024. The renovations included Rs 73.58 lakh earmarked for two of Majhi's own government-allocated quarters.
The refurbishment efforts extended beyond the CM's quarters, impacting residences of deputy and other ministers, with expenditures ranging from Rs 25.74 lakh on Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia's quarters to Rs 5.11 lakh spent on Minister Nityananda Gond's residence.
