A man who spent 25 years evading authorities after allegedly murdering a co-worker in north Delhi was detained in Bihar, police confirmed on Tuesday.

Identified as Satish Yadav, the accused was declared a proclaimed offender 23 years ago. He was apprehended in his native village in Darbhanga district after a series of strategic raids.

The murder, which took place on February 6, 2000, came to light when police discovered the victim, Sajan Singh, with severe neck injuries. Yadav admitted to attacking Singh in rage and then eluding capture by constantly relocating between various states.
