A young web developer from Delhi's Saket area has been apprehended for allegedly dispatching terror-related threat emails to police commissioners in Delhi and Bengaluru. The alleged perpetrator, Abhay Shee, took this drastic step following a dispute with a man named Mohit, officials reported Tuesday.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Harsh Indora, Shee targeted Mohit after a personal altercation over a mutual acquaintance. He reportedly fabricated email identities mimicking Mohit and sent threatening messages to 'teach him a lesson.'
The investigation revealed that Shee used VPNs and spoofing tools to craft threatening emails linked to a banned outfit.
