Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, asserted on Saturday that the Pakistani Army is fully prepared to counter threats from both external and international adversaries. During his visits to the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, Munir received briefings regarding their operational readiness and strategies to enhance combat capabilities.

Highlighting the army's vigilance, he stated, "Pakistan Army remains fully focused on both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns and extremist ideologies." His remarks come in the wake of India's Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, which targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following the deadly Pahalgam attack.

Munir praised officers and soldiers for their dedication to national security, emphasizing the need for rigorous training. He witnessed sophisticated field training exercises and highlighted the need for technological adaptability, noting that modern warfare requires agility, precision, and swift decision-making.
