Bribery Bust in Jharkhand: Engineer Caught in the Act

An executive engineer from the Building Construction Department in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district faced arrest on Saturday for allegedly accepting a bribe, according to local police.
The engineer was apprehended on the spot with a demand of Rs 70,000 from the complainant in Chaibasa as anti-corruption bureau (ACB) officers set up a sting operation, a senior official reported. The bribery was related to the clearing of a pending bill, said DSP (ACB) Indradev Ram.
The accused is currently in Jamshedpur for additional investigation, Ram added.
