Dramatic Liquor Bust: Rs 50 Lakh Seized After Truck Overturns

An overturned container truck in Jharkhand's Latehar district led to a major bust of illegal foreign liquor worth approximately Rs 50 lakh on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a checking drive within Chandwa police station limits and discovered over 1,000 cartons of liquor hidden beneath cement sacks.

The truck driver attempted to evade police at Devnad Bridge but lost control, overturning the vehicle. Both the driver and his helper escaped, prompting ongoing raids to capture them, authorities stated.
