Destruction included residential buildings and infrastructure, with hits on the regional capital and its outskirts, as confirmed by regional governor Ivan Fedorov on Telegram.

Efforts to clear the debris are underway by Ukraine's state emergencies service. Situated less than 25 kilometers from the frontline, Zaporizhzhia has been targeted frequently since Russia's 2022 invasion.
