Vehicle Seizure in Anantnag Under UAPA

A car was seized by police in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act as part of an ongoing investigation linked to a 2025 FIR. The vehicle's attachment follows sections of the UAPA and Indian Arms Act, in accordance with legal protocols.

Police authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district executed the attachment of a car under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act this Thursday.

The vehicle, identified by registration number JK13E-5393, was seized in relation to FIR No. 40/2025, which was filed at the Uttrasoo police station. The FIR includes charges under sections 18, 20, 23, 39 of the UAPA and 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act, according to a police official.

The action to attach the car is part of a broader investigation process and was conducted following established legal procedures, the spokesman added.
