Thane History-Sheeter Faces Charges for Chilling Attempted Murder

In a disturbing incident in Thane's Badlapur area, local police have filed serious charges against Akshay Kurtadkar, a known history-sheeter. According to authorities, the accused attempted to strangle a 36-year-old woman and threatened to harm her family.
Kurtadkar, previously banished from the region due to his criminal past, allegedly tried coercing the woman into an autorickshaw and threatened to make her private videos public. When the woman resisted, he reportedly attempted to strangle her and threatened her son's life.
The police have invoked the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Maharashtra Police Act against him for attempting murder, criminal intimidation, and for violating the externment orders. An investigation is underway to ensure justice.
