A Czech national detained in Venezuela since 2024 has been released, according to a statement by Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka on Friday.
The Czech citizen was imprisoned on allegations of plotting to assassinate then-President Nicolas Maduro and attempting to overthrow the government, as reported by Czech media sources.
The release coincided with the freedom of several other foreign nationals held under similar claims.
