The family of the deceased has accused Manita's in-laws of harassment, leading to these devastating events. A complaint filed by her family has prompted police to open a detailed inquiry. Superintendent of Police (City) Vyom Bindal confirmed that the investigation is underway after the registration of the case.

Manita's husband, who works a private job, was informed by her of her dire intentions before the incident. Despite immediate intervention by passersby and police, all three were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
