In a stark assessment of the state government's performance, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya has lambasted the Congress administration in Karnataka for its revenue shortfalls and what he describes as poor governance.
Siroya highlighted that the state, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, is unlikely to meet its ambitious revenue goal of Rs 2.03 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, having raised only Rs 1.38 lakh crore thus far.
Citing department-specific gaps and overall performance figures, he attributes the shortfall to internal conflicts, alleged corruption, and flawed policies, pointing to a troubling governance record and policy paralysis in the state.
