Tragic Death in Ranchi: Villagers Suspect Teen of Theft
A 19-year-old teenager, Vicky Nayak, was beaten to death by villagers in Ranchi, India, on suspicion of stealing a motor pump. Six people have been arrested following the incident. In a tragic incident in Ranchi, Jharkhand, a 19-year-old teenager named Vicky Nayak was allegedly killed by a group of villagers. The assault occurred over suspicion that the young man had stolen a motor pump, as per police reports released on Saturday.
The horrific event took place in Chaya village, 50 km from Ranchi, within Burmu police station limits. According to Burmu OC Naveen Sharma's statement, Nayak was captured by villagers who convened a panchayat meeting where he was brutally beaten, leaving him unconscious at the scene.
Rushed by family members to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Nayak was pronounced dead upon arrival. Responding to a complaint filed by the victim's father, police have arrested six individuals linked to the incident, with further investigations underway.
