Gold Smuggling Bust: Myanmar Nationals Caught at Delhi Airport

Three Myanmar nationals were arrested after Delhi Customs seized over 2 kg of gold worth Rs 2.89 crore at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The men, arriving from Yangon, were caught with 13 gold bars and charged under the Customs Act, 1962.

Delhi Customs officials intercepted three Myanmar nationals at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, seizing over 2 kilograms of gold valued at Rs 2.89 crore.

The individuals were caught while attempting to pass through the green channel at Terminal 3 after arriving from Yangon, Myanmar.

A thorough search revealed 13 gold bars hidden in their belongings, leading to their arrest under Sections 104 and 110 of the Customs Act, 1962.
