In a chilling turn of events, an elderly couple was found brutally murdered in their Ottapalam home, allegedly at the hands of their son-in-law, Muhammad Rafi. The accused also reportedly injured his three-year-old son during the attack.
According to local police, the deceased have been identified as Nazir, aged 78, and his wife Suhara, 70. The couple resided in Thottakara, a locality within Ottapalam. Their grandson, Muhammad Ishan, was grievously injured in the horrifying incident and is currently receiving medical care.
The family, embroiled in a domestic dispute, became the locus of tragedy when Rafi purportedly forced entry into the home late on Sunday night. Amid a custody battle with his wife, Sulfi, Rafi's desperate actions escalated to fatal violence. Police have launched an investigation and are actively pursuing the suspect.
