The victims, Shiv Mohan and Damodar Kumar, aged 28 and 22 respectively, were killed instantly in the crash that happened on Sunday night. They hailed from a village in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
The truck driver escaped the scene after the impact, prompting local authorities to launch an investigation and register a case.
