Tragic Double Deaths: A Gun Accident Ends in Loss

A tragic incident unfolded in Ahmedabad when Yashrajsinh Gohil, nephew of Congress MP Shaktisinh Gohil, inadvertently killed his wife while inspecting his licensed revolver, before taking his own life. The couple had recently wed, tying the knot merely two months ago, according to local police.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jayesh Brahmbhatt relayed that Yashrajsinh's mother reported the bullet being fired accidentally. Despite this preliminary conclusion, the bodies have been sent for a forensic post-mortem, which is expected to clarify the sequence of events leading to the deaths.
Gujarat Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi conveyed that the couple had been content with their married life. Following a social outing, Yashrajsinh was allegedly examining his revolver when a bullet discharged, fatally injuring his wife. Unable to withstand the shock, Yashrajsinh subsequently ended his own life, in the presence of both his mother and emergency service personnel.
