Momo Craving Leads to 85 Lakh Rupee Jewellery Heist
In Deoria district, a Class 7 student traded family jewellery worth Rs 85 lakh for momos. Coaxed by stall owners, after running out of cash, the boy took ornaments over several days. Two have been arrested; efforts continue to capture a third suspect and recover the stolen items.

In a shocking turn of events in Deoria district, a young student's craving for momos resulted in the loss of family jewellery valued at approximately Rs 85 lakh. The incident came to light when the boy's aunt discovered the missing items, prompting a police investigation.
Authorities stated that the Class 7 student, who lived in Bhagwanpur Tiwari village, developed a frequent habit of buying momos, initially using cash. However, once his money was depleted, stall owners allegedly enticed him into exchanging gold ornaments from his home for the snacks.
Following a complaint by the boy's father, police swiftly acted, arresting two of the accused and recovering some jewellery. One suspect remains at large as police continue their efforts to apprehend him and recover the remaining stolen items.
